Springboard VC Tune-Up 2002 offered women entrepreneurs an introduction to raising equity capital. The half-day program was targeted at entrepreneurs interested in learning more about accessing investment capital to start or expand their businesses and the business resources available in the community.
Co-hosted by Springboard Enterprises and the Kansas Women’s Business Center, the Kansas City VC Tune-Up took place April 4, 2002 at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundationin Kansas City, MO. Leading investors and successful entrepreneurs discussed their experiences launching and funding high-growth businesses, the facts about the equity markets and what’s involved in raising venture capital. A unique networking luncheon enabled entrepreneurs to meet and consult with the ‘who’s who’ in Kansas City’s investment and entrepreneurial communities.
